You make a difference

Just received this video called Who I am Makes a Difference in an email from my mom. It was one of those things that caught me at the right time. What do you think?

What a touching and inspiring video. It brought tears to my eyes. It reminded me of a friend I know that lost her teenage brother through suicide four years ago. Suicides are very real among teenagers. Words of encouragement and show of appreciation towards such teens are the best medicine to their hearts. I do feel that many people go unnoticed and unappreciated at home as well as at work. I don't think anyone would refuse a positive comment. Anyone would love to receive positive comments or recognition. It really boosts up a person's self esteem. When people feel their best, there is no reason for them to give their best in the job and home. Students could benefit from recognition as well. I know that I continue giving certificates to students through out the year and they feel nothing but happy and proud. They feel special when you let them know specific things about them that you appreciate about them. This video is worth learning from. I plan on sending out this video to my friends as well as my staff and let them know that they deserve a blue ribbon. If my staff and administrator like this video enough, hopefully we could try to implement it in our school to the students. We'll see.
