Let me introduce you to my new favorite web 2.0 tool. Jott is something that I was introduced to in my Monday night class. It is an application that allows you to send emails and text messages using a telephone and your voice. After setting things up, you can call Jott at a toll free number. You select the person you would like to "jott" and then speak your message. When you finish speaking, the voice on the line says, "got it!" and your message is on it's way.
You can "jott" yourself. This has already come in handy for me, as I so frequently get to work, sit down at my computer, and then ask myself, "What was I going to look up?" So now when I am driving to work, I just "jott" myself a reminder. Then when I sit down at the computer, I have an email which reminds me!
My mom is having road runner problems, and has been unable to access her email As soon as I got home from class Monday night, I set up an account for her. Now she is at least able to send a message to her email buddies. She isn't able to check back, but at least she can inform them as to why she has been e-mail a.w.o.l.!
I have already introduced several friends to this great new tool. You might like it, too!
